‘Everyone must work together for social justice’

Information and Broadcasting Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan called on everyone to work together to achieve social change and justice on Sunday.

“To move forward in life, one must set clear goals and show respect for others. The impossible can become possible through faith and unity. Everyone should approach their work with a sense of responsibility towards their family, society and country,” she said.

Rizwana Hasan made the remarks while addressing the 4th convocation of Leading University in South Surma Upazila, Sylhet.

Rizwana Hasan, also Environment, Forest, and Climate Change adviser emphasized the importance of haors in maintaining environmental balance and biodiversity. She urged the people of Sylhet to actively participate in their protection.

She also encouraged the public to take responsibility for the environment by reducing noise pollution, avoiding unnecessary honking, stopping the use of polythene and carrying jute bags while shopping.

The adviser congratulated the graduates and thanked their teachers and guardians for their support.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from the 2018-2024 batches attended the convocation.

A total of 6,193 students were awarded degrees this year, including one student awarded the Chancellor’s Gold Medal and four students receiving the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal for outstanding academic achievements.
