UNO distributes winter clothes

In Kamalganj, Moulvibazar, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Asaduzzaman has set a remarkable example of humanity by standing beside the helpless and destitute during the severe winter.

Carrying winter clothing (blankets) from the Chief Adviser’s relief fund, he braved the intense cold and dense fog to reach the doors of the cold-stricken across various parts of the Upazila during the dead of night.

On the night of Wednesday, he visited the Bhanugachh Railway Station, local markets, and remote areas of different unions in Kamalganj Upazila, personally wrapping blankets around the sleeping bodies of the needy.

Many recipients were moved to tears upon receiving this government assistance in the quiet of the night.

The UNO was accompanied by Ahmeduzzaman Alam, General Secretary of the Kamalganj Press Club; Parvez Ahmed, Joint General Secretary; and journalists from print and electronic media, including Salauddin Shuvo of Kaler Kantho (Multimedia).

The presence of media personnel ensured transparency and confirmed that the assistance reached the rightful recipients. Journalists also highly praised this people-oriented initiative of the administration.
