Home Affairs Adviser visits Zia’s grave

Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury visited the grave of Ziaur Rahman in the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar at 4:20 pm on Tuesday, following the decision to bury BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia next to the grave of her husband, late President Ziaur Rahman.

During the visit, he visited the place where the grave is being prepared for former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

He was accompanied by senior secretary of the Home Ministry Nasimul Ghani, officials of the ministry, senior officials of the law enforcement agencies and with everyone at the grave. He did not speak to the reporters at the time.

Legal Adviser Asif Nazrul announced the decision to bury Khaleda Zia next to Ziaur Rahman’s grave.

He made this announcement in a briefing in front of the State Guest House after a special meeting of the Advisory Council in Jamuna on Tuesday.
