Mirpur Fire Station to get 12-storey staff residence

Construction of a 12-storey residential building for Fire Service and Civil Defence officials and employees has begun at the Mirpur Fire Station in Dhaka.

Fire Service and Civil Defence Director General Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal inaugurated the construction by laying the foundation stone and turning the ceremonial soil on Thursday.
The building is being constructed under a government project and will accommodate 44 families in apartments measuring 1,250 square feet each.

The residential facility will include modern amenities and facilities for people with special needs.

The project is intended to provide residential accommodation for Fire Service and Civil Defence officials and employees at the Mirpur Fire Station.

Senior officials from the Fire Service and Civil Defence, Public Works Department and Department of Architecture attended the inauguration ceremony.
