KUET officers’ committee takes charge

The newly elected executive committee of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) Officers Association for the 2026 term formally assumed office on Tuesday.
The handover ceremony took place at the meeting room of the university’s Chief Engineer’s Office, where the outgoing 2025 committee officially transferred responsibilities to the newly elected leadership.
Md Moinul Haque took charge as president, while Md Golam Kibria assumed the role of general secretary. Other office bearers include Vice-President S M Saifur Rahman, Deputy General Secretary Md Rabiul Islam, Organising Secretary Md Zahidul Islam, Sports, Literature and Cultural Secretary Md Helal Fakir, Social Welfare Secretary Md Kamrul Islam.
, Office and Publicity Secretary Sheikh Zahid Hossain, Information and Technology Secretary Md Nazim Uddin, Legal Affairs Secretary M M Rabiul Islam Shuvo, and Treasurer Md Shahidullah Azam.
The committee members are GM Mahfuzur Rahman, Md Mostafizur Rahman, and Sadek Hossain Pramanik.
Chief Election Commissioner Sheikh Abu Hayat and Election Commissioners Mina Monirul Islam, Md Mizanur Rahman, Kausar Ahmed and Md Johur-uz-Zaman were present at the ceremony, along with members of the outgoing committee.
In their remarks, the newly elected leaders pledged to work collectively for the overall development of KUET and to safeguard the professional interests and welfare of the university’s officers.
