4 NRBs receives CIP card
Four non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) were awarded commercially important persons (CIP) cards recently for their outstanding contributions to the economy by remitting foreign currencies for the year 2015.
The CIP card receivers are- Arif Ahmed Chowdhury, Asif Ahmed Chowdhury, Begum Saira Chowdhury and Mir Rasel Sujan.
National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Md Nojibur Rahman handed over the CIP cards among the recipients at the conference room of NBR in the city.
The government encourages NRBs to invest in the country and for this reason, the NBR introduced CIP cards for them.
The experience, knowledge and the investment of the NRBs would help the country for its further development, said NBR chairman.
Members of NBR Md. Farid Uddin and Abdur Razzak and Director Genaral of National Saving Department Mahmuda Akhter Mina also presented the function.
Cardholders, their spouses and children will have the privilege of getting cabins if they are admitted to public hospitals. They will also have access to the Bangladesh Secretariat for a year. While meeting high officials at home and abroad, they will get special treatment.
