DSE gain on Tuesday

Key share price index at the country’s premier bourse, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained slightly on Tuesday, the 3rd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 12.15 points or 0.26 percent to close at 4627.17 on the day. Of the 316 issues traded, 123 gained, 156 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 835.70 crore changed hands at the DSE on Tuesday against Tk 855.79 crore on Monday, so the volume of shares traded, said to be the most important figure for the health of the bourse at present, declined.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Keya Cosmetics, Al-Arafah Islami Bank, ACI Formulations, First Bangladesh Fixed Income Fund, ICB AMCL 1st NRB Mutual Fund, Lankabangla Finance, ACI, Delta Life Insurance, BSRM, and Northern General Insurance. The top five turnover leaders at the DSE were Khulna Power Company, ACI Formulations, United Power Generation & Distribution, MJL Bangladesh and ACI.
