CU forms probe bodies over vandalism, looting

The authorities of Chittagong University formed two probe committees in connection with the BCL-Shibir clash, looting laptops, other necessary things and in vandalism of over hundred rooms of two dormitories on Saturday.
One probe body in connection with the vandalism and looting over A F Rahman , comprising of senior residential teacher of A F Rahman Hall, Aminur Rahman as the convener of one committee where the other members are Asaduzzaman and Altaf Hossain as member and section officer Sarwar as the member secretary, was
formed by the university authority.
The rest probe body was comprised of Baktier Uddin as the convenor while the others are Qazi Nur Hossain and Mohammad Asadul Hoque as member and section officer Mohammad Hasem as member secretary in connection with the Alaol Hall.
Proctor Siraj-ud-Daula told this correspondent that we formed two probe bodies in connection with the looting over the two dormitories and in vandalism of the two dorms adding that the committee was directed to submit the probe report soon as per.
Meanwhile, Chittagong University Teacher Association has censured over the looting and vandalism over the two dormitories and over the humiliation of the provost of A F Rahman Hall, SM Manirul Hasan.
Mohammad Abul Mansur, president and Dr SM Kasrul Alam Kuddusi, secretary of the Teacher Association has made the condemn in a press release sent to the journalists yesterday noon.
