Leading systematic life to reduce hypertension risk stressed

Health experts at a post-rally discussion have stressed for leading systematic life and controlling hypertension or high blood pressure (HBP) to reduce risks of the silent killer disease. They put special emphasis on regular physical exercise, less salt intake, changed food habit avoiding fatty foodstuffs and maintaining proper weight to help the HBP patients in reducing risks of deadly heart attacks, strokes and brain hemorrhages.
They were addressing the discussion organised by Rangpur Hypertension and Research Centre (RHRC) at its premises yesterday in observance of the World Hypertension Day-2015 with the theme of ‘Know Your Blood Pressure’. The RHRC, a sister organisation of Wasim-Waleda Bahumukhi Kalyan Foundation, chalked out programmes, including colourful rally and discussion, to observe the day with a view to create public awareness on maintaining controlled blood pressure.
