Dengue claims 3 more lives

The number of dengue patients in hospitals is increasing day by day in the capital, most of them children. The Photo was taken from Mugda Hospital in the capital on Sunday.

In the past 24 hours until Sunday morning, three dengue patients have died while 685 others were admitted to hospitals across the country.

According to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), during this period 125 patients were admitted in Barishal division, 89 in Chattogram, 122 in Dhaka division, 116 under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 128 under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 35 in Khulna, 21 in Mymensingh, 39 in Rajshahi, six in Rangpur
and four in Sylhet division.

With the new cases, the total number of dengue patients this year has reached 37,891, while the death toll climbed to 150.
By comparison, last year saw 1,01,214 dengue cases and 575 fatalities, the DGHS release mentioned.
