3 more die of dengue, 580 hospitalised

Three more people died of dengue and 580 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00am on Monday.

The latest deaths have raised this year’s dengue death toll to 59, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The fatalities were reported from Dhaka South City Corporation and the Khulna and Sylhet divisions, the DGHS said.

Since January 1, a total of 16,684 dengue patients have been hospitalised across the country.

Among them, 15,344 have recovered and been discharged, while 1,281 patients are currently receiving treatment, according to the DGHS.
