AB Bank launches entrepreneurship dev prog with BB

AB Bank PLC, in collaboration with the SME and Special Programs Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank under the SICIP project, has inaugurated a month-long ‘Entrepreneur Development Program’ in Barisal.

Through this month-long training, the entrepreneurs will gain essential business knowledge and skills, enabling them to access formal banking services and contribute meaningfully to sustainable economic development, says a press release.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Madhusudan Banik, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Barisal Office, as the chief guest.

Special guests were Md Ayub Ali, Joint Director and Deputy Program Director (SICIP) and Molla Al Mahmud, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank’s Barisal Office.

The event was presided over by Iftekhar Enam Awal, Head of SME Banking at AB Bank PLC.

Senior officials from AB Bank were also present at the inaugural event, along with 25 promising young entrepreneurs from the Barisal region.
