One held with 2.75kg gold at HSIA
UNB, Dhaka :
Customs officials held one person with 2.75kg gold from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city on Monday morning.
The arrested was identified as Abdul Jalil, said Sohel Rahman, joint commissioner of Dhaka custom house.
Customes intelligence officials challenged Jalil while he was crossing the customs hall along with a ‘car inflator’ machine around 7:10am, said MD Reyadul Islam, assistant commissioner of Dhaka customs house.
Later, the gold was recovered after cutting the machine.
The gold was wrapped with carbon paper. Jalil landed at the airport from Malaysia by an aircraft of the United Airlines earlier around 6:10 am.
