BNC to observe Int’l Day of the Midwife tomorrow

Bangladesh Nursing Council (BNC) is going to observe the International Day of the Midwife on May 5 (Tuesday).
The BNC has chalked out elaborate programmes including fair, discussion and rally by observance of the day. The theme of International Day of the Midwife is ‘Midwives for Better Tomorrow’ this year.
The BNC will arrange a midwifery promoting fair at Dhaka Medical College Hospital premises at 11am. Health Minister Mohammed Nasim will inaugurate the fair as the chief guest. At least 16 stalls from government and non-government institutions will take part in the fair.
The BNC will bring out a rally which will be started from in front of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital and will be ended at National Press Club led by Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Ministry Md Mosharraf Hossain. Hundreds of midwives will join the rally.
