Land grabbing and extortion gang active: AL devil not stopped in Chatak!

The Devil Awami Leaguers has not stopped in Chatak under Sunamganj district. The land grabbing and extortion gang is active. Countless innocent people are suffering from their misdeeds. The victims have sought the cooperation of the administration to stop the mischief of this organized gang and take necessary legal action against them.
In this regard, Md. Ali Akbar, son of the late Md. Abu Said of Charerband area of Chhatak Municipality, submitted a complaint to the Sylhet Range on Wednesday.
According to the complaint, some identified land grabbers and extortionists of Chhatak Municipality, banned political organizations, fascist Awami League appointees, the son of the late Firoz Miah of Charer Banda area of Ward No. 8, former vice-president of Chhatak Degree College and joint convener of the municipal Jubo League, Md. Shahin Miah, and Md. Ali Alam, son of the late Suruj Miah, vice-president of Ward No. 8, have formed an organized land grabber and extortionist gang. They have used the administration to take countless innocent people hostage through this gang. Among them, there are numerous allegations that Shahin Ahmed has sold the same land to multiple buyers through fraud. Falling into the trap of this gang, Ali Akbar Mahmud, an expatriate in Spain, fell into the clutches of his friend and fraudster Shahin and lost about half a crore taka by accepting fake documents, a problem that has not been resolved yet and a case is still ongoing against him in this regard. Moreover, Ayaz Ali Gang’s land next to his house is being used as a road in his father’s name by force and has extorted lakhs of rupees from his neighbors on the condition of using the road. He has been regularly extorting money through the syndicate by harassing those who have been in the diaspora for a long time and building new houses. Among them are Sohel Miah of Ganeshpur and many other diaspora people, many of whom are afraid to speak out in view of his terrorist activities and various threats.
Important members of the syndicate, former joint secretary of Chhatak Municipality Jubo League, Shahidul Islam Farid of Charer Banda area and notorious land grabber Khaled Miah, have built a sanctuary of crime under the umbrella of Shaheen, the head of the party. He has occupied the land of the waqf mosque in Charer Banda village with the force of Awami politics and has engaged in clashes with the local panchayat. Several cases are also ongoing against him on charges of occupying the mosque’s land and other people’s houses.
The ongoing syndicate management of the fascists’ allies, the land grabbers and extortionists, Shaheen Gang, has raised questions in the public mind. How are the allies of the banned organization Awami League and its affiliates still running under the nose of the administration and conducting illegal and immoral activities? The land grabbers, extortionists and tenderers, Shaheen Gang, have built an empire of crime under the nose of the administration, yet the administration is silent. Therefore, various questions have arisen in the public mind and the people of the area are fuming with anger.

It is the demand of the hour to build resistance against them. The general public of the locality has demanded that the identified land grabbers and extortionists, Shaheen Gang, be brought under the law quickly before any untoward incident occurs.
While fascist Hasina and her cronies are on the run, the question of how Shaheen Gang is able to build an empire of crime and evade arrest in the Char Bande area adjacent to Chhatak Police Station is being asked by the conscious community.
In this situation, the locals have sought the attention of the administration to take necessary legal action, including conducting a speedy operation against the Shaheen Gang members who are on the Devil’s list and are involved in all kinds of illegal activities.
