for Qatar to join Ferocious Falcon-15

A Bangladeshi Naval ship BNS Somudhra Joy left Chittagong for Qatar on Thursday noon to join the sea exercise ‘Ferocious Falcon-15’.
Naval Commander in Chittagong Rear Admiral M Akter Habib, bid formal farewell to the ship manned by 17 naval officers, 32 apprentice naval officers and 187 sailors and A A Mamun Chowdhury, PSC and Captain of the ship Commander A K M Afzal Hossain, PSC at Chittagong Navyal Jetty. The ship is sent to the 12 day-long Ferocious Falcon-15 beginning from May 10 as per request by the Qatar Navy.
A total of 22 countries in the world including Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Russia, Sri Lanka and India will participate in the naval exercise to be held in Persian Gulf. Rear Admiral Akter Habib NDC, PSC, BN, senior officials of Bangladesh Navy and their family members were present while bidding good bye to the ship at 1 pm yesterday.
Earlier, Rear Admiral Akter Habib exchanged pleasantries with the officers and sailors of the ships before starting their journey for Qatar. The ship will return to Bangladesh on June 16 next.
