Bangladesh mourns death of Norway’s King Harald V
Bangladesh has expressed deep sorrow and condolences over the death of Norway’s King Harald V.
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan signed the condolence book at the Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka on Monday on behalf of Bangladesh.
Norwegian Ambassador to Bangladesh Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen was present at the time.
After signing the condolence book, Dr. Moyeen Khan conveyed profound sympathy on behalf of the Government and people of Bangladesh to the Norwegian royal family, government and people over the death of King Harald V.
The Norwegian Embassy in Dhaka had arranged the condolence book for members of the diplomatic community and others to express their condolences following the monarch’s death.
King Harald V died on August 28, 2026, bringing an end to his reign as Norway’s monarch.
