BRU awards merit scholarships to 408 students

Rangpur Begum Rokeya University, on Wednesday afternoon, 408 students who achieved the highest results in the 2024 undergraduate and postgraduate equivalent examinations were awarded merit scholarships in the virtual classroom of the university’s Academic Building-2. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali was the chief guest.
At this time, he said that since assuming office as the Vice-Chancellor, work is being done to develop various infrastructures to ensure various facilities for students. At this time, he called on the students to present the university positively.
408 students from 22 departments of the university were awarded merit scholarships for the year 2024. The program was presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Shahzaman, Director of the Finance and Accounts Department, and Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Earth Sciences Professor Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque, Director of the Student Counseling and Guidance Office Professor Dr. Md. Ilias Pramanik, Proctor Dr. Md. Ferdous Rahman, Librarian of the Central Library and Information Center Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman, Director of the Physical Education Department Dr. Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Head of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences Md. Mostafizur Rahman, and students and officials from various departments were present.
