Abu Sayed Murder: ICT orders appearance of 4 accused

The International Crimes Tribunal has ordered the appearance of four accused individuals in the murder of Abu Sayed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, during the anti-autocracy movement in July-August.
The incident took place during the mass uprising against the dictatorship.
On Sunday( March 2), the tribunal, chaired by Justice Mohammad Golam Mortuza Mojumdar, issued the order for the accused to appear on April 9.
Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam stated that a report on the investigation against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, related to allegations of genocide in July-August, would be submitted this month.
Abu Sayed was killed by police gunfire during the student movement against discrimination in Rangpur.
The prosecution informed the tribunal that former ASI Amir Hossain and Constable Sujon Chandra Roy were directly involved in the incident.
Additionally, Begum Rokeya University Proctor Shariful Islam, Chhatra League activist Imran Chowdhury Akash, and several others were said to have incited the violence.
The prosecution also requested that the accused, who are already under arrest in other cases, be formally arrested in connection with this case.
