A seminar on National Safe Food Day-2025 was held on Sunday (February 2) in the conference room of the district administration with the theme “Food should be safe, people should be healthy”.
Organized by the Bangladesh Safe Food Authority in cooperation with the district administration, the District Safe Food Authority organized at the conference room of Magura District Commissioner on Sunday, the seminar was presided over by Magura District Commissioner Md. Ahidul Islam and presented various recommendations for the implementation of safe food. Magura Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Md Mahbubul Haque, Civil Surgeon Shamim Kabir, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) ASM Muktaruzzaman, Press Club General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Shafiq also spoke.
District Safe Food Officer Suman Adhikari said that the law will be strictly enforced along with creating public awareness to ensure safe food. At that time, about 100 hotels, bakeries, poultry, fish traders and honey farmers were present along with officials of public and private institutions of the district and journalists.
