Taskin crosses Shakib’s record

Right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed of Durbar Rajshahi crossed the record of left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan. Taskin Ahmed captured 24 wickets in an edition of BPL Cricket.

Taskin Ahmed crossed Shakib’s record after taking two wickets against Rangpur Riders in their match of the Dutch-Bangla Bank Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on Sunday last.

It was Taskin’s 10th match in this year’s BPL Cricket. Besides, Taskin Ahmed claimed seven wicket for 19 runs in a match of this year’s BPL Cricket. Earlier, Shakib Al Hasan captured 23 wickets in an edition of BPL Cricket.

Shakib Al Hasan made the record in the year of 2019. He played for Dhaka Dynamites in 2019 and captured 23 wickets in the year of 2019 BPL Cricket. Shakib played 15 matches to make the feat.

On the last Sunday, Taskin dismissed Steven Taylor of Rangpur Riders to reach the Shakib’s record. Then, he trapped Rakibul Hasan of a victim of leg before wicket to cross Shakib Al Hasan.
