Attack on indigenous students: Govt condemns attack on hill tracts students

The Interim Government has strongly condemned the violent attack on a peaceful gathering of students from the Hill Tracts, which occurred on Wednesday in front of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) in Motijheel.

In a statement issued today by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, the government confirmed that two individuals have already been arrested in connection with the attack, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the other perpetrators. “All miscreants will be brought to justice,” the statement assured.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of the July mass uprising, declaring that mob violence, racial hatred, and bigotry have no place in Bangladesh. It further warned that anyone involved in activities that disrupt harmony, peace, and law and order will face strict action, regardless of their background.

An investigation into the incident has been launched, and the government reiterated its zero-tolerance stance against any attempts to destabilize the nation’s social fabric.
