Lafarge Holcim, Jalalabad to continue gas sale agreement

Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System (JGTDS) and Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh (LHB) have agreed to extend gas sale agreement (GSA) in principle, effective from January 17 next.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources here on Wednesday, said a press release today.
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan chaired the meeting.
The extension of the GSA signified a continued partnership aimed at supporting sustainable industrial growth and enhancing investor confidence in Bangladesh’s economic landscape.
Besides, it also reflected the mutual commitment of both the government of Bangladesh and Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh to continue their collaboration.
