Awareness meeting held in Tarash on Economic Census 2024

An awareness meeting was held on the occasion of Economic Census 2024 in the local upazila parishad hall room in Tarasha of Sirajganj district on Wednesday.

Tarash Upazila Nirbahi Officer Suyusong Mong Marma presided over the meeting jointly organized by Upazila Administration and Upazila Statistics Office.

Upazila Statistics Officer Mehdi Hasan, Thana Officer-in-Charge Aslam Hossain, Upazila Primary Officer Mosabbir Hossain Khan, Secondary Education Officer Abdus Salam, Cooperative Bay Officer Abdus Salam Zakaria, Tarash Press Club President Professor Sabbir Ahmed and others spoke at the meeting.

Addressing the occasion, Suyusong Mong Marma said that the picture of the socio-economic condition of the country emerges through the economic census. The survey is very important for policymaking, future planning and research for the economic development of the country. he said, “I hope that with the overall cooperation of all, the accurate picture of the economy of Tarash Upazila will emerge through this survey.”

He called on everyone to cooperate with the census which is going on from 10 to 26 December.
