Tigers declare at 253/7 against Windies Select XI

Bangladesh Cricket team declared their first innings making 253 for the loss of seven wickets against West Indies Select XI on the opening day of the two-day warm-up match at Antigua in West Indies on Sunday.

After winning in the coin session, the Tigers decided to bat first.
Bangladesh had a modest start with two openers Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Zakir Hasan put on together 29 runs in the opening stand before Joy (8) was dismissed by Shaaron Lewis.

Zakir Hasan (15) was dismissed by Jair McAllister when Bangladesh’s total on 38 for the loss of two wickets.
One-down Mominul Haque and second-down Shahadat Hossain added together 47 runs for the third wicket partnership before Shahadat Hossain was bowled out by Justin Greaves when the Tigers’ score was 85 for the loss of three wickets.

Shahadat scored 25 from 30 deliveries featuring three fours.
Mominul Haque was caught behind by wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach off Nathan Edward when Bangladesh’s total was 101 for the loss of four wickets.

Mominul Haque made 31 from 58 balls including four fours.
Third-down Litton Das and fourth-down Jaker Ali added together 32 runs before Litton Das was retired hurt when the tourists’ total was 133 for the loss of four wickets.

Litton Das hit 31 using 53 deliveries with four fours and a sixer.
Jajer Ali and Mahidul Islam Ankon contributed together 81 runs before Jaker Ali was retired hurt when the visitors’ total was 214 for the loss of four wickets.

Jaker Ali knocked a sedate 48. His 110-ball innings was decorated with four fours and a six.
Mahidul Islam was retired hurt when Bangladesh’s score was 224 for the loss of four wickets.
Ancon notched up a painstaking 41. He hit four fours and a six in his 87-ball innings.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz (11) was stumped out by Imlach off Chaim Holder when the tourists’ total was 230 for the loss of five wickets.

Hasan Mahmud (0) was dismissed by Holder when Bangladesh’s total was 230 for the loss of six wickets.
Taskin Ahmed (7) was bowled out by McAllister when Bangladesh declared their first innings. Taijul remained unbeaten with 15 runs.

Holder and McAllister bagged two wickets each instead of 48 runs each. Greaves, Lewis, Edwards took one wicket apiece.

Later, pacer Hasan Mahmud struck as opener Kraig (0) was caught by Jaker Ali off pacer when West Indies total was naught.
Kimani Melius was on 3, while Joshua Dorne was on 3.
