BOU begins graduate exams amid high hope

Bangladesh Open University BA, BSS (Hons) and LLB (Hons) programme of various subjects and semester examination as usual held at Dhaka Regional Center of the University on Friday morning amid aspirations of students.

It should be noted that only 8/10 unruly students went to Dhaka Regional Center of BOU on the day at approximately 6 am for the purpose of canceling the examination at the venue of examination come.
The security guards on duty forcefully take the keys and lock the gates and students who want to participate in the examination are barred from entering the hall.

Around 8 am, a large number of students took a stand at the main gate of the regional center of the university to participate in the examination and started chanting slogans demanding the examination. Bangladesh Open University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam along with Pro Vice-Chancellor( Education ), Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration),Treasurer, The dean of all the faculties concerned with the examination, the teachers, the controller of the examination and the Regional Director of the Dhaka regional center quickly arrived and took the position at the gate of the regional center and arranged for the examination. Most of the students expressed their satisfaction with the authorities after taking the exam.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam while visiting the examination center said, “Like today’s examination, all remaining examinations will be conducted on time. No barriers will be tolerated. Also, the Vice-Chancellor gave instructions to all concerned to conduct all future examinations in a plagiarism-free and peaceful environment.

These exams will be held regularly according to the routine scheduled by the university till January 4, 2025.
