Body of hijacked car driver found in N’ganj

Police recovered the body of a private car driver named Mohammad Hanif in Sonargaon, Narayanganj. The body, which bore multiple injuries, was found in bushes beside the Dhaka-Chattogram highway near Chengakandi village in Pirojpur Union on Friday.
According to police, the assailants killed Hanif by hacking him and fled with his car. Initial investigations suggest this motive, based on discussions with his family. The deceased, Hanif, hailed from Keroya in Raipur, Lakshmipur, and was the son of the late Md. Keramat Ali. He worked as the driver of the stolen private car.
Sonargaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abdul Bari stated that after Hanif’s wife, Rahima Begum, and his two sons arrived at the scene, the body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy at 10 a.m. Details will become clearer after the autopsy report, and efforts are underway to identify and apprehend those involved.
