Independence Day Kabaddi begins

The Walton-Liberation War Affairs Ministry Independence Day & National Day Kabaddi Competition began at the Kabaddi Stadium on Thursday.
Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs MA Hannan inaugurated the kabaddi meet as the chief guest while First Senior Additional Director of RB Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn was with him as the special guest.
Chairman of the Tournament Committee Md Nizam Uddin Chowdhury Parvez presided over the inaugural ceremony.
A total of seven teams splitting into two groups are taking part in the kabaddi tournament. Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Air Force, Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence are in Group A while Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Jail team are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will get tickets of the semi-finals.
The winners of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final on March 30 at the same venue.
