Nazmuzzaman takes oath as PSC chairman

Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian took oath as the new chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) on Sunday.

Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury administered the oath at the Supreme Court Judges Lounge in Dhaka, according to a press release.

PSC members, its secretary and concerned officials were present at the oath-taking ceremony.
President appointed Professor Mohammad Nazmuzzaman Bhuian as PSC chairman on September 2, 2026, in the public interest under Article 138(1) of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

\Under Article 139(1) of the Constitution, he will serve as chairman for five years from the date he assumes office or until he reaches the age of 65, whichever comes earlier.
