BNP postpones 26 April rally

BNP has postponed its rally scheduled for April 26 due to the extreme heatwave.
The party announced the postponement of the rally in a statement on Monday.
The rally was supposed to be held in front of the party’s central office in Dhaka’s Nayapaltan.
BNP Dhaka Metropolitan South Unit’s office secretary, Saidur Rahman, said a new date for the rally would be announced later.
BNP had planned to hold a grand rally in front its headquarters on April 26 in a demad for release of BNP detained Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and to protest against the arrest, filing ghost and false cases of other leaders and activists.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam was supposed chair the programme were leaders and activists from the Dhaka metropolitan and neighbouring districts were preparing for the rally’s success.
