Patuakhali wife surrenders after killing husband

After stabbing her husband to death in Patuakhali, the wife surrendered to the Patuakhali Sadar police station.

The incident took place in Kalatala Akon Bari area at Ward No. 8 of Patuakhali Municipality on Friday (March 1) late afternoon. The deceased person’s name is Rakib Islam (20) and his wife’s name is Meem Akhter Jinia (18).

Rakib Islam is the son of Nazrul Islam of Fulbagichia village of Lalmohan Upazila under Bhola and Meem is the daughter of Jewel Akon of Itbaria Union of Patuakhali Sadar Upazila.

The police said that the woman was arrested when she surrendered at the police station after killing her husband. After going to the spot, it was found that her husband had died.
