Ratna is irregular in the movie due to lack of story
Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
There was a time, when Ratna was the youngest heroine of the film industry. During that time, Shabnur, Moushumi, Poppy and Purnima
dominated the Dallywood.
At that time, actress Ratna made her debut as the youngest actress. She made her debut on the big screen opposite actor Ferdous in
the movie ‘Keno Bhalobaslam’ directed by Selim Azam.
The songs of this movie were well received by the audience.
After that Ratna acted in movies with Bapparaj, Rubel, Amit Hasan, Shakib Khan and many other heroes. Among them are some popular movies.
This former student of Jagannath University and Dhaka University has also studied in law. At the same time, Ratna tried to be more focused on acting and studying. But now she is not regular in movies like before.
According to this actress, she doesn’t get the kind of stories she likes anymore. That is why she is no longer working in movies. The last movie she finished shooting was ‘Kishore Gangster’. The shooting of this movie has been completed near the capital in Pubail and its surrounding areas. Mosaddek Rahman Fagun gave direction of this movie.
Also Ratna’s upcoming movies are Satya Ranjan Romance’s ‘Poran Pakhi’, Danny Sidak’s movie ‘Kansar Thalay Rupali Chand’ (made with government grants, there is no confirmation whether this movie will be released at all), and Tajul Islam Edin’s ‘Kothin Lorai’.
One of Ratna’s latest released movies is Jewel Farsi’s ‘Kiron Mala’. It stars Litu Anam opposite her.
Meanwhile, Ratna is currently acting in various consciousnesses based dramas of various channels.
Ratna told this correspondent, “I have been offered to work in many movies but not a single likeable story. Now I’m actually not in favor of working for the sake of working. Viewers are now much more aware. The world is now at hand. So the time is now appropriately ‘story telling’. If it is not like mind then there is no interest to work in movies. Who wants to work now has to handle everything. So, if I have to work, I want to do that kind of work. May the pain be worth it.”
