AL 3, JaPa 1, independent candidates win 2 seats in Rangpur

District Returning Officer and District Commissioner Mohammad Mobasher Hasan announced the results of 6 constituencies of Rangpur at around 8 o’clock on Sunday night. In this Awami League won 3, Japa 1 and independent candidates won in 2 constituencies.
Rangpur-1: Asaduzzaman Bablu (Independent) won unofficially with 73 thousand 927 votes in the Kettle symbol. His nearest rival MasiurRahman got 24 thousand 334 votes in the color truck symbol.
Rangpur-2: Ahsanul Haque Chowdhury Duke won by getting 68,000 votes in boat symbol and Biswanath Sarkar Bitu got 51,792 votes in Truck symbol.
Rangpur-3: GM Quader won with 81 thousand 861 votes on the plow symbol. His closest rival was Anwara Islam Rani of the third gender with 23 thousand 326 votes.
Rangpur-4: Tipu Munshi won by getting 1 lakh 21 thousand 893 votes on boat symbol. His nearest rival Zafar Salim Bengal got 80 thousand 768 votes. Rangpur-5: Zakir Hossain Sarkar (Independent) is leading in truck symbol by getting 1 lakh 6 thousand 129 votes in 140 out of 150 centers. The nearest competitor was Rashek Rahman of Awami League who got 71 thousand 505 votes.
Rangpur-6: Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury won in the boat symbol. In the results of 105 out of 111 polls, she is leading by getting 1 lakh 2 thousand 521 votes. Her closest independent candidate Sirajul Islam got 35 thousand 498 votes.
