Indians may intrude before vote: 12-party alliance

Staff Reporter :
A 12-party alliance, an anti-government coalition, announced people’s curfew (Gono curfew) on the election day slated for January 7 and urged the voters to boycott the polls avoiding visiting the polling centres.

“Indian citizens have become very active during Bangladesh’s national elections.

Indian infiltrators who have been in Bangladesh for the past 15 years are becoming active again to make the voter turnout appear satisfactory to the international community.

So, this time on January 7 the Indian intruders will play a pioneer role as voters of Bangladesh,” spokesperson of the 12-party alliance and Secretary General of Bangladesh LDP Shahadat Hossain Salim said during mass communication in National Press Club and Paltan area in the city on Friday.

Discouraging voters from voting in the 12th parliamentary elections, he urged people and alliance to observe from morning to evening mass curfew on Sunday.

“On January 7, Indian infiltrators can play the role of voters in polling booths. Therefore, on behalf of the alliance, we calling on the people not to leave their homes and don’t go to polling centres,” Shahadat Hossain Salim said.

Shahadat Hossain Salim also said that Awami League President Sheikh Hasina announced mass curfew (Gono curfew) in 1996. “InshaAllah, people’s mass curfew will force Sheikh Hasina to resign in 2024,” he said.

Chief coordinator of 12-party alliance and Jagpa vice-president Rashed Pradhan said that illegal elections are going to be held on the 7th day of Felani’s murder.

“What a shame! Delhi’s Dada-Babus are conspiring to hang Bangladesh after the 7th election, just like how Delhi hanged our sister Felani,” he added.

According to Rashed Pradhan, the 12th puppet election will not be allowed to held on the soil of Bangladesh Bengal as per to Delhi’s prescription.
