Notorious pirate Hugh Jackman!

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman is set to portray the notorious pirate Long John Silver.

The film, based on British author Robert Louis Stevenson’s timeless novel Treasure Island, will be directed by legendary filmmaker Ridley Scott.

The screenplay has been written by Emmy Award-winning British writer Jack Thorne, who recently received acclaim for the widely discussed series Adolescence.

The film will be jointly produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss.Written in the context of the 18th century, Treasure Island is regarded as one of the most popular adventure novels in world literature.
