A mild cold wave is sweeping across three northern districts of Dinajpur, Panchagarh and Kurigrram, according to the met office.

The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies over the country, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said in its forecast on Friday morning.

There may be moderate to thick fog from midnight to morning, and it may continue to persist till noon at some, which could disrupt air navigation, inland river transport and road communication.

Night and day temperatures may rise slightly. Meanwhile, due to thick fog, cold day conditions may prevail in places across the country.

The highest temperature on Thursday was 28.7 degrees Celsius in Teknaf and the lowest on Friday was 8.4 degrees Celsius in Tetulia.
