Yousuf Ahmed Khan wins Delhi audience on the first hour of New Year

Yousuf Ahmed Khan, a musician of this generation, got an opportunity to sing songs in Delhi on the Rabindra-Nazrul birth anniversary in May last year. Then he enthralled the audience by singing songs at the organised event, so again on the night of December 31, 2023 Yousuf performed music at the event organised by Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi, India.
Last December 30 was expatriate day. This event was organized mainly on the occasion of this day.
There Yousuf Ahmed Khan performed Bangladeshi and Indian old days’ Bengali songs. One after another Yousuf’s songs captivated the audience. Yousuf Ahmed Khan has already returned from Delhi to Dhaka.
While sharing his feelings regarding performing in the programme in Delhi, Yousuf Ahmed Khan told this correspondent, “Before this, I went to Delhi for the first time to sing song on the occasion of Rabindra Nazrul’s birth anniversary. The organisers had said that the event could be held at the end of the year. Accordingly, this time basically I went to Delhi. The event was organised on the personal initiative of the High Commissioner of Bangladesh. With respect to those who were present, I say that everyone enjoyed the Bangladeshi and Indian old days’ Bengali songs in my voice. Most importantly, I received so much respect and love there that cannot be expressed in words. My sincere gratitude and love to everyone. I am grateful to Councilor Abdul Wadud Akhand Bhai, because he was in charge of the entire event.”
Yousuf Ahmed Khan informed that on January 26, he will perform music in an event of Dhaka University.
Meanwhile, two songs titled ‘Buker Majhe Tomar Anagona’, written by Sakhawat Hossain Maruf, and ‘Monto Manena’, written by Majed Chowdhury, will be released soon. Yousuf himself composed these two songs.
