Athletics training camp begins in Tangail

A month-long athletics training camp began on Thursday at Tangail District Stadium.

Tangail District Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Oliuzzaman formally inaugurated the training camp, said a press release.

Tangail District Sports Association (DSA) General Secretary Mirza Moinul Hossain Lintu, other officials of the DSA and former athletes of the district were also present in the opening ceremony.

Tangail District Sports Office organised the athletics training under the annual sports programme of Directorate of Sports and Ministry of Youth and Sports.

A total of seventy five athletes participated in the preliminary selection held on January 1 last and finally thirty five athletes were selected to bring them under the training.
