Peya Jannatul’s experience riding ‘Pink Bus’

BRTC has launched the ‘Pink Bus’ in several cities including Dhaka to ensure safe and comfortable travel for women passengers.

Model, actress and lawyer Peya Jannatul has now boarded it. She has now shared her experience after riding the bus with her fans.

Peya Jannatul published a blog on her social media. On that day, she wore a black court over a sky-blue sari.

After boarding the bus, she observed various facilities inside. She highlighted the CCTV cameras for the safety of passengers, the schedule chart, and the government emergency service number 333.

Sharing her experience, Peya said that when the ‘Pink Bus’ plies on the road, the general public looks on with curiosity and interest.

She compared the experience of the bus to the feeling of riding a ‘celebrity bus’ and expressed her hope that this initiative will create positive discussions and women will move forward.

At one point during the bus journey, Peya spoke to the female bus driver.

The driver said that she had been learning to drive for six years and had been working for the BRTC for two and a half years.

The female driver said that she was also getting full support from her family.

Peya Jannatul’s blog has received a lot of response from her fans. In addition to her legal profession, she has been working as a familiar face in the fashion
and entertainment fields for a long time.

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has launched ‘Women’s Bus Service (Pink Bus)’ to make travel easier and safer for women in Dhaka.

Since its official inauguration in Tejgaon on August 18, the service has been operating regularly on 10 routes in the capital.

For the convenience of women passengers, it has been equipped with e-ticketing, GPS tracking and CCTV camera facilities.
