Govt vocational school’s 100KV transformer stolen

A 100 KV transformer of Talgachi Government Textile Vocational School in Shahzadpur was allegedly stolen.
Talgachi Government Textile Vocational School Superintendent Chaitanya Sarkar said that last Sunday after 11:00 pm watchman Tajul Islam locked all the locks of the institution including the main gate and fell asleep in his own room.
While performing Fajr prayers in the morning, he saw that the 100 KV transformer inside the institution was brought down. Later he called me. I found with my some local dignitaries that the copper wire inside the transformer and other things were stolen. In this regard, a general diary was made at the police station on Monday.
Residents said that theft has increased in the area for quite some time now. Last week, three cows worth about seven lakh taka of a farmer named Mozammel Haque were stolen.
