Govt spreads propoganda on BNP’s relation with US: Rizvi

Staff Reporter :
The main opposition party-BNP on Thursday accused the government of falsifying about relations between the party (BNP) and the USA.

“The ministers of the Awami League regime are involved in propagandas that the USA has been managed.

But the USA protested such propaganda saying it is deep fake news,” BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said at a virtual press briefing.

The BNP leader labeled such propaganda as ‘shameless’ saying the government is trying to cling to power by lopsided polls again.
Rizvi also alleged that the police are dillydallying to give permission to his party in organising a ‘Victory Day’ rally.

He also alleged that the police created obstacles to the BNP in paying homage to martyred intellectuals.

“They (police) are playing the role like the invading forces in 1970 by resorting to tricks to give the BNP permission for the victory rally to mark the Great Victory Day,” Rizvi said.

The BNP has already sent a letter to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner informing that it will hold a rally in the capital on December 16 to celebrate the Victory Day.
