DIG Rajshahi Range visits Sirajganj

Md Ashiq Saeed, DIG, Rajshahi Range, Bangladesh Police, Rajshahi 19 & 20 August 2026 AD. Sirajganj district police visited Sirajganj as part of annual inspection. During the tour, he participated in various important programs.

On his arrival at Sirajganj, Superintendent of Police, Sirajganj Mr. Md. Saiful Islam Santu, BPM (Bar) extended greetings and welcome to DIG. At this time, a well-armed team of the district police gave him a guard of honour.

Later DIG attended the community policing meeting organized at Sirajganj Sadar Police Station as the chief guest. In the meeting, he emphasized on increasing public awareness and strengthening mutual trust and cooperation between police and public to prevent drugs, cyber crime, violence against women and children, juvenile crime, terrorism and extremism.

In the evening, DIG participated as the chief guest in the charming cultural evening organized by Police Lines, District Police, Sirajganj. Various cultural performances created an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie among the guests and the policemen present.

The next day on August 20, the DIG visited the annual inspection parade of the district police held at Police Lines and took salute and inspected the parade. Later he visited the Reserve Office and reviewed the overall operations, documents and administrative management of the office and provided necessary directions.

After that a special welfare meeting was held at Police Lines. In the meeting, the DIG listened to the policemen and emphasized on ensuring their overall welfare besides discharging their duties with honesty, discipline, professionalism and devotion. In recognition of good work, 16 members of the District Police were given crests, certificates and monetary awards.
