Tangail’s Mirzapur freed today

Mirzapur (Tangail) Correspondent :

On the day of 13 December, 1971, Mirzapur Upazila of Tangail was freed from the Pak invaders.

After a long 8 months and 10 days of war, with the surrender of the Pak invaders to the freedom fighters, the flag of independent Bangladesh with a red sun emblazoned on the green ground flew in the sky of Mirzapur.

This flag has not yet arrived.

For this, Mirzapur residents had to pay a lot of blood and fight many frontal battles against the Pak invaders.

Bir Muktijoddha Sarkar Hitesh Chandra Pulak said that the Sangram Parishad and High Command were formed in Tangail in response to Bangabandhu’s historic call of March 7, 1971.

It was led by former MP freedom fighter Fazlur Rahman Khan Farooq, former MP freedom fighter late Ekabbar Hossain, freedom fighter late Azad Kamal and Bangbir Quader Siddiqui Birottam.
