Adam Tamizi sent to rehabilitation centre: DB chief

Haque Group Chairman Adam Tamizi Haque was taken to a rehab centre for mental health examination, said Harun Or Rashid, the chief of Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

“We have nothing to do if he has mental disorder,” the DB chief told journalists at his office in the capital’s Minto Road on Sunday noon.

He said Adam Tamizi is an accused in a case filed with Dakshinkhan Police Station. Besides, there is an arrest warrant in his name at Ramna Police Station.

The DB chief said they will interrogate him if he is mentally sound after medical examination.

Earlier on Saturday evening, Adam Tamizi was arrested from his residence in the capital’s Gulshan. Later, he was taken to the DB office for quizzing.
