JOYPURHAT: On the occasion of the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign, an information meeting was held with journalists in Joypurhat. Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Akul Uddin presided over the meeting organized by the District Civil Surgeon’s Office in the meeting room of the District Civil Surgeon on Monday. Dr. Faisal Ahmed, District Information Officer, A. Alim, President of Joypurhat Press Club, Ad. Nripendranath Mondal PP spoke on the occasion. It was informed in the meeting that 1 lakh 32 thousand 851 children in the district will be fed vitamin A capsules, out of which 11 thousand 952 children aged 6 to 11 months will be fed blue capsules and 12 thousand 851 children aged 12 to 59 months will be fed red capsules.
