White Panel boycotts DUTA election

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-backed White Panel (Sada Dal) of Dhaka University teachers declared a boycott of Dhaka University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) elections scheduled to be held on December 12 this year.

The White Panel Convenor Prof Mohammad Lutfor Rahman on Thursday announced the decision at a press conference held at Dhaka University Club.

The panel took the decision as they think there is no congenial environment at the DU at this moment for participating in the election in view of the with prevailing political stand off the country.

Considering the national situation, we, the white panel, has decided to boycott the upcoming DUTA election. We know that most of the running DUTA executives are implementing the agenda of the fascist government.
