New Zealand Cricket team in capital

The first contingent of New Zealand Cricket team arrived in the capital on Tuesday night.

Some coaching staff of the team also reached Dhaka.

Rest of the cricketers and coaching staff of New Zealand Cricket team were scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Wednesday.

New Zealand Cricket team arrived in the capital to play two-match Test series against Bangladesh Cricket team.

The two Tests are part of ICC World Test Championship.

Bangladesh Cricket team will take on New Zealand Cricket team in the first Test at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from November 28 to December 2.

The Tigers will face the Kiwis in the second Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur from December 6 to December 10.

The members of New Zealand Cricket team were scheduled to leave the capital for Sylhet on Wednesday morning.

On the other hand, Bangladesh Cricket team were scheduled to leave Dhaka for Sylhet on Wednesday night.

After almost 10 years, New Zealand Cricket team will play Test matches against Bangladesh.

The cricketers will take part in the practice session on November 23 and November 24.

After one day recess, the cricketers will take part in the training session on November 26 and November 27.

After the ending the first Test match, Bangladesh Cricket team and New Zealand Cricket team will return to Dhaka from Sylhet on December 3.

The cricketers will take part in Dhaka on December 4 and December 5 before the second Test match.

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan could not take part in the two-Test match Test series against New Zealand. Prolific batter Litton Das has taken recess. Thus, he will not play in the two-Test series.

Bangladesh Test squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Zakir Hasan, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Nurul Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Khaled Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Shahadat Hossain and Hasan Murad.
