Govt arrest spree creates a reign of terror, says Dr. Manisha

Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) observing its 43rd anniversary and the 106th anniversary of the Russian Revolution with grand procession and rally in Barishal on Tuesday calling the people for mass movement for social change.
Before the rally a procession carrying red flags moved on important city roads. The post-march rally was addressed by Dr. Manisha Chakroborty, Shahidul Islam, Dulal Mallick, Bijan Sikder and others. Dr. Manisha Chakraborty, member secretary of district BSD, delivering her presidential speech in the rally at the Ashwini Kumar Hall square on this occasion said ruling government has established a reign of terror by conducting arrest operations across the country.
The speakers said that BSD has been fighting against capitalism-imperialism in an uncompromising manner since its birth and has been struggling to establish an exploitation-free state and democratic society in the spirit of the liberation war for 43 years.
Speakers said, on one hand, autocratic Awami fascism is preparing to announce the schedule of one-sided elections, on the other hand, a dangerous situation of clash and conflict is being created in the country.
People’s lives are ruined by rising commodity prices, but the government is completely unable to control the market. Even the government has established a reign of terror by carrying out arrest operations across the country to suppress the opposition.
Speakers also called upon the government to immediately shun stubbornness and resign and finalize the outlines of an impartial non-partisan government and demanded the return of voting rights to the people through impartial elections.
At the same time, the speakers called on the people to strengthen the struggle for the establishment of the state of the workers-farmers by changing the system of looting as well as changing the current situation.
