Nahida nominated for October POTM Award

A West Indies all-rounder, a young star from Bangladesh and an ever-consistent New Zealander are in the running for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month (POTM) Award for October 2023.

The young left-armer was a constant menace with the ball throughout October as she led Bangladesh to a superb 2-1 T20I series triumph over Pakistan in Chattogram.

The highlight for Akter was undoubtedly the career-best figures of 5/8 during the first match, with the 23-year-old finishing the series with eight wickets and a deserved Player of the Series award.

Akter also scored a total of nine runs from two innings during the series with Pakistan, capping off an emphatic series triumph for Bangladesh.
