National Youth Day observed in Kishoreganj

The National Youth Day-2023 was observed through various programmes across the country on Wednesday.

This year’s theme of the day is ‘Smart Juba Sammridha Desh, Bangabandhur Bangladesh’.

Marking the day, Department of Youth Development (DYD) including District Administration in Kishoreganj has chalked out celebrated programmes in the district.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Kishoreganj, Md.Abul kalam Azad attended as chief guest while Deputy Director (DD) of Youth Development Tahseen Nazneen in the chair.

Deputy Director (DD) of Islamic Foundation, Md. Mohasin, Training Coordinator Sirajul Islam and Freedom fighters ex-unit commander Md. Asadullah were special guests.

It was addressed among others, Mohila Awami League district general secretary Bilkis Begum, DYD Assistant Director (AD) Md.Kamaluddin, DYD AD Shahadat Hossain, Upazila Youth Development Officer Abdul kadir Bhuiyan and Sadar upazila vice chairman Masuma Akhter,
DC Abul Kalam Azad said, the large part of the country’s population is youth aged between 18 and 35 and steps needs to be taken for proper utilisation of demographic dividend to achieve SDG targets by 2030 and turn the country into a developed one by 2041.
